Entries for August, 2008

Sometimes I just want to blow myself up into a bubble and float for a while, and suddenly disappear into thin air with nary a pop. Escape from everything -

Responsibilities.

Commitments.

Doubts.

Maybe I'm not mature enough for this.

I bit off more than I can chew. I am shoving everything down my mouth and trying not to throw up. But no matter how fast I chew, I can only take so much; there will always be something I have to give up, something I have to throw up. I can't believe one comment just like that is enough to spiral me down into the depths of self-doubt and shatter my self-esteem into smithereens.

I really should write more often. Smile, I can handle this.

is indeed, bliss.

But only for awhile.

And then the implications of not knowing would come

and somehow, even if it hurts...
the thing you've so long ignored,
would surely be worth knowing.

and I hope it isn't the wrong choice.

There is a time for everything

and usually, that time is 'now.'

There are a lot of things to be thankful this past week:

the approval for the use of the loyola school of theology roof deck, a successful ACLE, a fun Astro Dinner, a prosperous lunar eclipse observation, the rain stopping just before the lunar eclipse, bonding sessions with astropips, astro-imaging, shooting stars, dslr and projector, the ateneo stroll the morning after, the free mcdo breakfast courtesy of sir perry, the relaxed execlus meeting, the ride and walk home with ronipe... i didn't think i deserve all this but i am brimming with so much happiness. All that effort was really, really, REALLY WORTH IT.

I love God :D

"Change.. we don't like it, we fear it, but we can't stop it from coming. Nothing remains the same for long. We either adapt to change, or we get left behind.

"The finest hour in a person's life is when he has done things to nameless people without expecting them to remember his acts of kindness."

"No matter how stupid your deed may be, those who truly love you would love you still."

"Sure enough, money can't buy happiness; but somehow it is more comfortable to cry inside a bmw than in a jeepney :)"

"Every bad situation will have something positive, even a stopped clock shows correct time twice a day.. So stay positive in life, smile."

lessons learned:

1. a small thank you can go a long way.

2. concentrate. ignore distractions. focus on the task at hand.

3. letters/words of encouragements, no matter how cliche or trivial, works. It helps boost self-esteem and appreciation.

4. put effort in everything you do. it shows.

5. whatever hardships you're going through, just plunge through it. it will pass, and the sooner you go through it, the better; and when all is done, the sigh of relief and accomplishment will be worth it :D

ayun lang muna. hehe

Resolution number 1:
Account your expenses! Learn the value of money.

Resolution number 2:
Walk, walk, walk! Saves money, lessens pollution, exercises your body. Win win win!

Resolution number 3:
Keep your commitments. Fullfil your duties and be responsible. DO NOT BE LATE! Classes are commitments.

Resolution number 4:
Exercise every morning!
10 minutes should be enough :D

So far nagagawa ko naman yung 1..haha. medyo sablay pa yung number 2 at 3, but I'm getting there :D Bago lang yung number 4, bukas pa ako mag-uumpisa. Haha. Go self-improvement! :D

Siguro a couple of years back mababaliw din ako sa series na ito. But come on, edward is too perfect, bella is always needed to be saved, napaka dragging ng storya, pov ni bella at kung magkwento siya ay sobrang detailed na yung details ay hindi naman nakakapagpagalaw nung kwento. It's annoying. It's like reading a journal of someone you couldn't care less about. Hindi ko nga natapos yung libro eh, nagiging impatient lang ako for more action. Maybe the following books are better. O baka fanfic lang pala yung nadownload kong e-book and the real twilight is much much better. haha. Ang taglish ko. Nakakainis.

It's inbox cleaning time again. Here are more text quotes for your enjoyment:

"You can tell if that person is someone special.. if no matter what kind of mood you are in, he/she can always manage to make you smile :)"

"Make one person smile tonight.. even if it's just yourself."

"You are free to make your choices but you are not free to choose the consequences."

"Ang pag-aaral at pagtatrabaho ay parang biyahe.. masarap tulugan." - ay grabe. parang personal motto ko ito ah. hindi dapat, hindi dapat!!

"This happen because we choose to. There may be regrets but blaming is not an option. We are where we are because we brought ourselves there. We get happy, get sad, but most importantly, we learn." - importante talaga ang choice no? kaya, choose wisely! hehe :D

"Weekends are made to create an illusion that students can rest." - true. haha

Do NOT hit the snooze button!! Wake up as soon as the alarm goes off.

Grabe. napagtanto ko na talaga na ang mga masasamang epekto ng mga habits ko - mula sa pagpindot ng snooze button hanggang sa pagiging burara sa pera. Little habits like these DO add up and will form a gigantic effect on my life. Buti nalang at nasuri ko ang mga ito upang maalis sa aking sistema.
