So mamaya na.

The thought of a Duterte presidency makes my stomach churn. The only good light is that Leni has a strong chance to be VP. Halos maiyak talaga ako nung napanood ko yung closing statement niya sa first debate, na excited na siyang manalo, and the reason is because she wants to serve us, her countrymen, and this statement was framed within the context of her living as an ordinary person who has helped and met people in all walks of life. Buong buhay niya ay ang kanyang paghahanda. The sincerity is so real, and this shows not only in her words but her actions as well; noon palang bilang alternative lawyer, tinutulungan at iniintindi na niya ang mga nasa laylayan ng lipunan.  Why the hell do people still want to vote for Marcos anyway? He who protects their ill-gotten wealth: money that should have been for the people, for the nation's development. Kapal talaga ng mukha. So much dread for the future if it's a Duterte-Bongbong tandem. Our parents already fought against martial law so we wouldn't have to. Why, why, why are we bringing the possibility of it back?! 

Haay. We've heard enough promises from the candidates. Mine is to be involved in community building and be a well-informed citizen. Enough of the ignorance, self. I've done practically nothing this election season. Nakakahiya. It's high time to be more active and improve a nation I would want my kids to live in. Easy to say, right? Or you know, dapat magfocus ako sa isang problem na maipaglalaban ko, kasi ngayon wala akong cause na pinagtutuunan ng pansin talaga. There's this guilt gnawing at me na and wala akong ginagawa para sa ikauunlad ang bansa and there is more to life than my work which I enjoy but is a luxury product for people. I mean, kung maglaho mga lifestyle photographers sa mundo wala namang mamamatay literally. Anyway, sobrang nakakainspire si Leni, maggovernment work kaya ako? Well whoever wins, magiging mas active na talaga ako.
