Duterte's drug war is lazy. Ultimately, it is an extremely lazy approach, masquerading as busy, masquerading as may ginagawa. It is a narrow, short-sighted (non)solution. It is cowardice. The long, effective road takes work. So much work that the president chooses an easy promise instead, a stand that has already taken 5000 lives. It's easy to just say, "you will die". It's more difficult to conduct a holistic approach: it is an issue of public health, education, social welfare... studies have already been made that drug wars are ineffective(http://www.economist.com/node/13237193), why are we still participating in it??? The infuriating part about this drug war is that we are paying for this, and dying because of this (collateral damage, anyone?), and in the end it's all so pointless.
